Generations of theatergoers have discovered Wisconsin’s theatrical treasure nestled along Door County’s scenic shoreline. Mother Nature is the Players lobby and patrons dress according to the weather.  The Theater is designed to be an open-air pavilion with a roof overhead so the performances may go on rain or shine.  In inclement weather the sides of the pavilion can be lowered to create an enclosed space.

“Patrons are welcome to explore the lush grounds and enjoy a pre-show beverage from the Luna Bar while relaxing under the canopy of a cedar forest,” Kelsey said. “Many patrons plan ahead to arrive early and enjoy the view of the setting sun over the waters of Green Bay before settling into the Players award-winning all-weather pavilion.”

Peninsula Players 80th season continues with Ken Ludwig’s hysterically funny, door-slamming comedy “Lend Me a Tenor” on stage through August 16. Opening August 19 and performing through September 6 is John Patrick Shanely’s latest Broadway hit, “Outside Mullingar.” This sweet and prickly Irish love story makes its Wisconsin première is by the creator of “Doubt” and “Moonstruck.” Closing the season is the frolicking, habit-forming musical comedy “Nunsense,” with book, music and lyrics by Dan Goggin performing Sept. 9 through Oct. 18.

Peninsula ActorsPeninsula Players has been entertaining audiences since 1935 when the theater opened behind the Bonnie Brook Motel in Fish Creek on July 25 with Noel Coward’s “Hay Fever.” The company was founded by a brother and sister team, Caroline and Richard Fisher, who dreamed of an artistic utopia in the north woods where actors, designers and technicians could focus on their craft while being surrounded by nature in a contemplative setting. Peninsula Players moved to the theater’s present location along the shore of Green Bay in 1937.

Individual tickets range from $36 to $45, with discounts for groups of 15 or more. There are no performances on Mondays.
